Gringai & Biripi – Worimi Country

Curriculum Vitae

Simone E. Turner Ryan
b. 1972 –        Dungog, NSW Australia. Gringai – Worimi descendant, Dungog has been home for generations. Inheriting my father’s love of the land and the ability to draw with attention to detail. I am a self taught, traditional painter in acrylic and enamel. Inspired by scientific illustrators from an early age, I would draw or paint animal and plant specimens from the garden, bush and local areas.  I prefer to use wood panel instead of canvas, for an archival advantage, valuing quality over quantity. Selling through word of mouth with 50% of my works commissioned, including milk cans and saw blades. Represented in private collections in Australia, Canada, Germany, UK, United States and the Netherlands.
