             Simone was born in Dungog, NSW Australia and is a Gringai & Biripi descendant of the Worimi People. Inheriting her father's love of the land, wildlife and the ability to draw with attention to detail. A self taught, traditional painter using acrylic or enamel. Inspired by scientific illustrators from an early age, she would draw or paint specimens from the garden, bush and local areas. Preferring to paint on wood panel instead of canvas for an archival advantage, valuing quality over quantity and selling mainly through word of mouth, commissions account for half of her works. Represented in private collections in Australia, UK, Canada, Germany, United States and the Netherlands.
